Ohio, as with most other states, requires individuals to take the CPA exam. However Ohio also requires individuals to have earned 150 semester hours before attempting the rigorous exam. John Carroll University graduates have long been encouraged to attain the CPA certification and alums have had very good success in passing the CPA exam. Consistently ranked at or near the top in pass rates among Ohio schools, twice in the last five years we have ranked in the top ten in pass rates at the national level.
